Skipton castle wedding photographer
Skipton castle wedding photographer
I photograph weddings all over the place. I often spend most of my summers on the road and to be honest I love it. I live close to some of the best wedding venues in the country but I thrive off shooting in new places with new people. When Emma & Matthew got in touch about me being their Skipton Castle Wedding photographer I was surprised. Skipton is where I go to buy washing up liquid. I must have passed the castle a hundred times and never knew you could get married there! It turns out it is definitely in my top 3 locations I have ever photographed. The way the light falls around the castle is mind blowing.
The old chapel is possibly the best photo spot I have ever used. You litterally can’t take a bad photo in there!
Reception.
After a lovely ceremony at Skipton Castle Emma & Matthew held a reception at The Tempest Arms in Elslack. A quite country Inn in beautiful surroundings.
I took them up to the country lane at sunset time but as we got there and started to shoot the clouds rolled in. In all the time I have been photographing weddings I have never asked a couple to wait around for nicer light. I can usually predict when we need to shoot keeping the interruptions to a minimum. I just had a feeling, a gut instinct that if we waited 10 minutes something would happen. We were rewarded royally!
