Nunsmere Hall Wedding Photographer
Nunsmere Hall Wedding Photographer
Lydia and Alan decided to hold their wedding at Nunsmere hall in Cheshire on that one day of the year when everyone is up for a massive parry! The last time I photographed a New Years Eve wedding was for Lydia & Alan’s friends so it seemed very ‘right’ to be photographing this one.
Venue
Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire is a classic country house wrapped by it’s own lake and is the sister hotel to Peckforton Castle. When I first arrived the sun was shining and everything looked perfect. I have photographed enough winter weddings to know that this would disappear and it would be going dark by the time the wedding ceremony was wrapped up.
It’s quite a challenge to plan your shots in the half an hour I take to wander in the morning gathering inspiration. Especially when you are seeing beautiful winter sun yet you know the shots will be in low, bluish shade!
Details
Lydia chose a seasonal colour theme dressing her bridesmaids in red and bringing this in to the flowers.
Flowers: Daisies Floral Design
She wore a Ronald Joyce dress with Roland Cartier shoes
Make up: Erika Swinn
Winter Weddings
There is no denying that a winter wedding is a challenge from a wedding photography point of view. I have grown to adore them however. It feels like a different job photographing summer weddings to winter weddings. Us wedding photographers secretly live off the thrill of split second decisions and constant problem solving and this is at it’s height when it’s quickly going dark and every light is a different colour! Being a first time Nunsmere Hall Wedding Photographer I loved every minute of Lydia & alan’s day. Rising to the challenge of capturing their day using the available light and fantastic atmosphere as inspiration.
