The Farmhouse Morzine wedding

The Farmhouse Morzine wedding. This was my second visit to the Farmhouse Morzine to photograph a wedding. I slightly fell for Morzine this time having explored a little more and met some of the locals. Jen & Ryan have already built a life together in Morzine but there was a strong sense that their marriage marked the start of a commitment to growing a family and a business there. Having a love for the proper sports of Mountain biking and snow boarding they seemed to have found their calling.

The Farmhouse Morzine wedding.

The Farmhouse is one of the oldest buildings in Mozine and has the best ‘from town’ views I have been able to find. It is full of authentic French features and so easy to photograph!

Ceremony

Jen and Ryan had planned to hold their wedding ceremony outside. The day before was glorious, however the mountains can be quite changeable and we were forced indoors. The ceremony room was probably the most challenging I have ever photographed in. With very low orange lighting and warm wood panelled walls, I had to call on my whole 10 years of experience to get the shots I needed.
Luckily Jen & Ryan had asked their friend Johnny to officiate their ceremony. Johnny also happens to be an top notch wedding photographer and gave me free reign to get the shots I needed. Johnny you life saver!

Jen asked her friend @hazelea hazelea.co.uk based in the Cotswolds to come over and provide the floristry – She did such a great job!

Dixie Micks Band

That Evening!
Dixie Micks created a fantastic Irish party atmosphere and we danced in to the dark until Jen & Ryan’s sparkler exit, Irish dancing, a ceilidh and some classic group sing a longs.

If you are planning your wedding in Morzine or France I would love to hear all about what you are planning.
