Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Manchester Weddings
Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Manchester Weddings is the former home of the author famed for Cranford, North and South, and Wives and Daughters. It has been restored to it’s original condition and lovingly overseen as a historic house. On a day to day basis the house is open to the public as well as having a tea room. In all honesty it has some of the best cake I have ever experienced.
Wedding Ceremonies
The team at Elizabeth Gaskell’s House Manchester have decided to open the house for wedding ceremonies. They intend to specialise in small intimate weddings as the house in a historic building and the rooms have a homely intimate feel.
Study
The study is a small book lined room. Perfect for civil ceremonies with a surrounding that is totally unique to a Manchester city centre wedding. Fitting up to 10 people and being filled with original artefacts, this room is ideal for those looking for a small ceremony before moving on to a larger reception.
The Drawing Room
The drawing room is a larger room complete with working piano, fire place and large windows providing a lovely country house feel. Accommodating up to 35 people this room fits perfectly with those not wanting to hire a boutique hotel or restaurant aimed at 50 plus guests.
