It was my first time at the mighty Broughton Hall and I was really looking forward to exploring the contrasts in styles and periods of the architecture. The day was amazingly wet but this did not damped the spirits of the lovely Alex and Sarah. They chose to hold their ceremony in the main hall and move on to a reception at the ultra modern Utopia building in the grounds. Due to the dampness the guests spent some time after the ceremony in the hall’s Victorian glass house which is just beautiful. This was such a fun filled day, and Alex and Sarah braved the drizzle to wander through the stunning grounds to allow me to get some great shots.
Peacock!
The amazing glass house
I want them shoes!
You can’t beat a good Beatles number to round off a wedding ceremony!
Sheltering from the drizzle
Sarah was kind enough to forward me this email she received from one of her guests….
“OMG….these are possibly THE most beautiful pictures I have ever seen – and I am not bull ******** you here!! I feel very emotional looking at these – tears in my eyes,,goose bumps and everything….you must be so pleased with them. Mark has done a fantastic job of capturing the day….Rhi just had a quick look at a few and she said ‘omg they are brilliant pictures…so natural’. Fantastico!!!”
