Brantwood Coniston Wedding Photographer
Brantwood Coniston Wedding Photographer. Jane & Andrew had a really unique wedding. They chose one of the most stunning wedding locations in England in Brantwood on Coniston in the Lake District. The Lake District has become one of my favourite places for wedding photography. It has it’s challenges photographically but we usually end up with some very special pictures!
Brantwood sits on the side of Coniston Water and was the house of John Ruskin. It’s views down to the lake are astounding. You can also charter a private ferry for a tour of the lake!
The Brantwood house keeper provided all of the flowers for the wedding and she is brilliant!
The ceremony
Jane & Andrew had a tiny wedding ceremony in the drawing room at Brantwood. Being surrounded by their immediate families, there was a lovely intimate feel to the ceremony. After getting a few pictures with just the two of them in the wild gardens above the wedding venue, we walked down to the jetty on Coniston Water to meet the rest of their invited guests.
Reception
The wedding reception started on the absolutely incredible Steam Gondola based on Coniston. This boat is really perfect for a wedding. The staff are brilliant, it’s really quiet! And the steam engine adds an air of traditional glamour.
Tips for small weddings
I thought what Jane and Andrew did with having a small ceremony followed by a larger reception with buffet worked incredibly well. One of the best decisions they made was to hire Daniel Sings. He was an absolute professional. Providing live music in the ceremony, on the boat and in the evening. Having jutst10 people at your wedding there can be moments of silence but having a singer made for such a nice atmosphere.

Absolutely love these! Jane looks beautiful and the setting is out of this world – no wonder Andy looks like the cat that got the cream. Outstanding photos as always mark!!!
