AbbeyWood Estate Wedding Photographer

I met Lucy & Warwick in a pub somewhere in London after a long day photographing interiors all day. It was hot, really hot and I wasn’t exactly beaming with energy. Within ten minutes of Warwick’s brilliantly bad jokes and Lucy’s happy wedding chat I was buzzing with excitement at the prospect of being their Abbeywood Estate wedding photographer.

Abbeywood

The Cheshire located, 45 acre estate has become a familiar scene in my wedding photography calender. What amazes me is how every time I photograph there I find a new corner to explore. Depending on the month the gardens look totally different. No matter if it is bright sun shine or overcast the photo opportunities are endless.

As a bride you have preferences as to what style of dress and what features or designers you love. As a wedding photographer one of the things I love the most about photographing the morning preparations at so many weddings is how every bride finds the dress that is perfect for her. Yes I have favourite wedding dress designers and I usually photograph your wedding dress hanging. Nothing beats seeing someone emerge in a dress that makes them glow and walk a few cm taller and seems like it was waiting in the shop just for that one person. Lucy was a prime example in a her Stella York dress which couldn’t have been more perfect.

Ceremony

Lucy & Warwick chose to have a legal outdoor wedding ceremony. At Abbeywood Estate this means doing half of the ceremony under the huge trees and the legal bit a few steps away in the house with your closest family.

We of course made the most of the gardens and woodland but I was most excited about the amazing evening light we got!

Abbeywood provided and ‘Make your own’ ice cream machine complete with endless topping options. It seems that this instantly turns everyone bak in to 8 year olds competing for ‘most toppings stacked on one ice cream’!
